We invented Trend Books
We are an Italian creative studio renowned throughout the textile world. In 1951 we published the first books dedicated to made in italy fashion trends, thus inventing the format of trend books.
Trend forecasting is the core of our work. Textile culture, a profound technical knowledge of fabrics, yarns, finishing techniques, the understanding of colour and its commercial dynamics, the experience in the fashion market: all this forms the basis of our technical and creative team for understanding and interpreting the changes of an increasingly fluid and mobile world in order to provide comprehensible and reliable directions.
Our motto is CONCRETENESS.
We are enchanted by reality and we support the value of concreteness. We are Italian, and we love beauty. This is why our trends are transmitted in a tangible, comprehensible and beautiful manner through sensory books, which are extremely rich in materials and ideas: hundreds of real fabric samples, real yarns, real colours.

Biella, 1951
Pietro Alberto, a textile designer with a great passion for art, innovation and fashion, invents the first trend books for the textile world. A farsighted intuition that anticipates the creation of the Parisian bureaux de style by at least 15 years.
The books by PIETRO ALBERTO contain exclusive textile creations: the fabric swatches are hand woven on small looms; the idea is original and meets immediate success not only for the proposal of fashion trends and colours, but also because the books convey those Italian values, which thirty years later will form the base of MADE IN ITALY brand.
In 1955 the establishment of ALBERTO & ROY: the book proposal is enlarged and diversified; the publications dedicated to men’s and women’s proposals are complemented with the books for shirting, knitwear, neckwear, jacquard and printed fabrics, interior decoration, sportswear and technical fabrics.
Alberto & Roy STILE
In 2008 the publication of COLORI – a very Italian book designed for the colour trend forecasting – gives rise to ALBERTO & ROY STILE a new line of trend books that introduces a wider concept of research and information.
2014 is the year of novel “tailor-made” collaborations aimed at developing marketing and communication strategies for major companies of the fashion textile world.
2018 sees the development of specific collaborations with the best fashion schools and universities, in Italy and abroad.
